Description:
This Web site provides a wide variety of materials that K-6 teachers can use to supplement their classes. The site is designed for native speakers of Japanese at the age of five to ten. As such the entire site is written in Japanese. There are two sections we found particularly useful in Japanese language classrooms. One is the section for learning Japanese, math, and English. The section contains a variety of game-style exercises. Japanese section provides writing and kanji exercises appropriate for upper-introductory or higher students. Math section contains exercises including telling the time, measurement, shape, and multiplication. The other section contains a collection of activities including craft-making, cooking, paper folding, drawing, and outdoor plays. Windows Media Player is required to do view the activities.
