Spanish-English Translation Games
Alternate Title: Syvum Spanish Quizzes
Description:
Spanish-English Translation Games, sponsored by Syvum Technologies Inc., actually offers both Spanish-English and English-Spanish translations activities. Quizzes are offered in a variety of formats from multiple choice to fill-in-the-blank. Each quiz is on a certain theme, ranging from foods to colors and other basic vocabulary. Students can easily use these games and quizzes to test their own progress when it comes to learning and retaining vocabulary. The one big drawback to this site is that pop-ups appear constantly; after completing one or two quiz questions, users may see up to six pop-up advertisements. To keep the screen less cluttered, users may wish to consider turning off pop-ups (be careful, turning up pop-ups may also cause other, more important messages not to appear onscreen). In general, this type of game is most suitable for beginning learners, as more advanced students will already know this vocabulary.
