Description: Created by Robert J. Blake and Adam S. Karp at the University of California-Davis, the Spanish Internet Guide is a tool to show how the Internet can be used to facilitate Spanish language acquisition. The site is divided into five units (15 chapters) and is designed around authentic readings and actual Internet sites. The site is intended for students at UC-Davis, and ask for email information at the top of the page. For non-UC-Davis students, it is best to refrain from filling in this information and the "entregar" button (which is supposed to submit the lesson to the instructor). For most students, these lessons should be used as a guide; independent students at an intermediate level may want to complete these activities on their own and peruse the linksincluded in each lesson. Each lesson contains four activities: pre-lecture, reading, discussion, and writing. Instructors may wish to use these lessons in their own classrooms, allowing students to write out the information by hand instead of submitting it via the site. Instructors may also wish to create their own Websites in a similar fashion if they prefer receiving emailed assignments. |
