If you are curious not only about Japan but also about other Asian countries, this is your site. As a part of AskAsia created by Asia Society, Adult-Free Zone provides lots of fun stuff and activities for K-12 students to learn about Asian countries and cultures. The site is divided into six sections. Activity Center features Language & Song Activities (vocabulary games in Japanese and Chinese), Origami Game (Japanese paper folding game), and Test Your Knowledge (Quiz about Asia). E-Pals contains three Web sites where you can find pen pals around the world. Virtual Gallery features Student Art Showcase, Exhibitions, and Downloadable Images & Maps. Exhibitions section currently contains two manga (cartoons): Valmiki’s Ramayana, "the timeless epic of the Indian hero, Rama, and Teenage Tokyo: the Story of Four Japanese Junior High School Students. Fun Links contains fifteen Asia-related sites for children. Kid’s Message Center is a section where you can post a message, talk to kids around the world, and exchange information about Asia. Kids Ask AskAsia provides a service in which you can ask questions about Asia via e-mail. Shockwave is required to play the games.
