Description:
This site is designed to practice Spanish vocabulary by associating each word with a corresponding picture. Vocabulary can be selected either by choosing the first letter of the word or by selecting an over-arching category such as sports, kitchen, animals, etc. The pictures associated with each word are extremely colorful, making the dictionary interesting and fun to use. A guide to pronunciation is also provided to aid in speaking the words correctly, although it may be easier for those already possessing a basic knowledge of pronunciation. In order to practice with the new vocabulary and their pictures, the site provides several games, such as flashcards, fill-in-the-blanks, and word scrambles. After learning the vocabulary, the site also includes a link to other Internet sites offering more advanced Spanish language practice.
