Ainu Language Radio Lesson

This Website will be an excellent resource for advanced learners interested in the Ainu people, their language and culture. The Ainu is an indigenous people who are centered on Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. The site provides a radio program featuring introductory lessons of the Ainu language. The topics include greetings, self-introduction, other daily expressions, and grammar. The program discusses the culture and history of the Ainu people along with the language lessons. The program is broadcasted in Japanese, and as such it will be an excellent material for brushing up listening comprehension skills as well. The programs broadcasted in 1999-2002 are also available.
