The topics include Confucianism, Chinese poetry in the period of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), classical/medieval/modern Japan, classical drama (Noh drama), classical literature (the Tale of Genji and works by Basho Matsuo), and modern Japanese politics. Each discussion material comes with video clips, background information, bibliography, class materials, and related Websites. RealPlayer is required to view the videos.
